The story of this piece
Before anything else: this is yours now, outright and entirely. Everything below is simply the story of what you own.
Yours, provably
This piece is one of a small edition.
When this edition sells out, it closes. The file is retired, and the piece joins the collection's archive. There is no second printing wearing a different name.
Your print carries three quiet proofs:
Numbered on the lower margin, the way prints have been signed and numbered for a century — some rituals don't need improving.
A small embossed mark on the reverse, beside the code that brought you here. You can feel it with a fingertip. It's meant to be found by touch, years from now, by someone turning the frame over.
This page. Your edition, the stock (museum-grade, acid-free, made to outlast the wall it hangs on), and the date your piece entered the world. Bookmark it, or don't — the record keeps itself.
The plaque card carries the code that brought you here — print it and set it into the frame's lower rail, or tuck it behind the piece. It's how the next person meets the artwork.
If you ever pass this piece on — a gift, a move, a lucky stranger at exactly the right yard sale — the record transfers with a note to us. The story stays attached to the piece. That's what a certificate is for.
This is the demo
Every piece in the gallery ships with its own small gold key. Scan it, and your artwork moves, speaks, and learns a new motion on the first Sunday of every month — for as long as you own it.
Owners get the paperwork too: the numbered certificate and the plaque card live on a page just like this one, downloadable whenever you want them. That part unlocks with your piece — not before.
Now that it's yours
Write a note back to the person who gave you this. We'll seal it into the record and let them know it's waiting. No stamp, no envelope, no finding their address.
Think of one person. Not your feed — one person. The one whose kitchen wall is still blank. The one who just moved. Send it to just them.
Pieces like this tend to outlive their first wall. Write something to the piece's next owner — or to yourself, ten years from now — and we'll keep it sealed in the record until someone scans and asks.
Only future scanners can read it. Not even us — it's sealed.
Already hung? Wonderful. Still deciding on a second piece? Hold your phone up to the actual wall and we'll place the piece on it, true to size, in your light.
Uses your camera. Nothing is uploaded — the wall stays yours.
Now you know what it feels like to be handed a wall that moves. If someone in your life has a room that's waiting for exactly this — the shop is open, and gifts ship tracked, wrapped, with the note sealed in.

How it lives
Your piece is not finished moving.
Hold your phone up to it — any time, from any chair in the room — and the print you know does something prints aren't supposed to do. A breath of wind crosses the surface, slowly, the way real air moves — then it settles. The whole thing takes about twenty seconds, and it never plays quite the same way twice in a row.
Nothing about the motion is random for its own sake. The animation was composed alongside the artwork, from the same file, the way music is arranged for an instrument it was written on.
Then, once a month, the piece learns something new.
On the first Sunday of every month, living pieces receive a motion drop — a small, new movement, delivered quietly to your wall. Some drops are so subtle you'll notice them on the third viewing, which is rather the point.
You'll get one gentle email when a drop arrives — subject line, no exclamation mark — and that's the extent of our noise. The piece doesn't need you to engage with it. It just keeps living, and keeps the door open.
This is what the little gold square beside your print really is. Not a gimmick, not a gadget — a key. The print hangs on your wall; the life of it lives here, and it doesn't expire, and it doesn't cost you anything, ever again. Buy the piece once. It's yours, and it keeps arriving.
If you'd like to go further
No pressure lives in this section. Your piece is complete as it is. But people ask, so:
This piece was drawn for a slim float frame with room to breathe around it — the one we'd choose. We stock it, cut for this print.
See the framing optionsThree other pieces share this piece's temperament. They're happy alone. They're happier introduced.
That's the whole shop tour. The piece upstairs — the one on your wall — remains the point.
Before you go — the piece would like to meet someone.
They can scan the code on your print any time. The piece recognizes friends.
